overtaking her

Well I worked one more day of the chimp’s piece; I think I might be able to squeeze one more day out of her, without overtaking her.  That way I can make the foals pop.  I have evened out most of the outer edges to create more even focus.  For me a painting is all about where you want someone to look creating depth.  Our money shots are the face of the parent chimp and the baby.  So wish me luck for tomorrow.

Chimp’s final hours

Today I worked a little more on the focals of the chimps.  I’m not sure how much more is left for me to do on her but I think she might be in a good place for now.

Slowly

Well I spent a little work on the chimp’s piece.  Life gets busy and time becomes more precious.  But well get there just a little bit at a time.

Doing the Louvre

Well this week Art-site is doing its annual Louvre exhibit.  I've submited 3 pieces.  If you feel up for it give them a look-see.

Well I've darkened the chimps piece a fair bit, now its a little more about the finessing it.

I worked a little more on my chimp painting, it took a while but she is getting closer to where she should be.

Well I'm running low on animal paintings so I've started a chimp’s piece, I like the emotion in the pose, let see if I can pull it off and translate that emotion to the painting.

Vietnam Seals

Yesterday I finished my vietnam piece.  I took her to debs dinner where I picked up my seals piece.  I felt she needed a little attention.  Overall I'm please with her now.  I think I'm ok with taking her back to debs dinner tomorrow.  Well see what the day brings.

Subtle

Today was a little work on making the vietnam piece a little more subtle.  It took a bit but she is in decent condition.

More tightenin

Well I spent a couple more hours on my piece she is coming along nicely.

House

Well I spent a couple hours on my vietnam piece I missed painting while I was in Vietnam but I took lots of pic's of the kids.  It will be fun translating them to paint.  I'm finally planning to move out so I can go nuts and post my paintings in my new house, quality work but I'm excited!

Tighter

Well I've had a chance to tighten the vietnam painting, and I feel she is moving in a good direction.

Working on a pic from Vietnam she's gigantic so it will take a while but its good to get back to painting.

Flight

Well coming back from my flight I had some time to work on a sketch, and although she is not perfect I think she is decent enough to share with you guys.

Walk away

Well I think I reached the end of dragon piece.  It took a little more work but I'm finally able to walk away form her.

Dragon

One of my cousins asked me to paint a Dragon for a child she knows.  I'm working hard, hopefully it will work out.
