Well I've been working on reworking one of my older pieces. She is still a little cartoony but I think I happier with her.

Well I tried to contrast her up a bit. But basically I think the classic look worked the best. I just tweaked her So that hopefully she fits more with the collection.

Well I'm liking the coffee exchange brick backdrop. it really sets of the paintings. 7 are up at the exchange if you get a chance come out and check them out.
Well subject matter I have always followed what captivated me. But I'm opening it up to other people. To take a poll Which do you enjoy more the animals (cats, apes, frogs, wolfs, elephants, ,bears, horses or other,) , the people, sculptures, aquatics (under water), music icons, or art nouveau.
What would you prefer to see?
Well I've talked to the owner of the exchange and were back in business. So I have revised the dates as well as a better set up of the design thanks to some help from phil.
Well today was finishing up confidence, overall I'm very happy with her. Not sure the trifecta of three images emoting confidence is successful but we live we learn.
Well were finally done the tiger. I decided to go with a more blank background to focus you attention on the eyes of the mother and the pup. I think we can say I'm happy with the results.

Well I have been working on some miniature mucha's were not completely happy with all of them but were getting closer.

Well pretty much much finished work on primary instinct as well as another sketch (Julia Robert's), not bad weekend.

Well I stated working on the geisha. Didn't get too far until phil suggested I she is content as she is. I also did a little work on the Beatles but I'm going to take her home and pay some steady attention to building her up.

Well I tried to work on working on some of phil's suggestions. I think she is credible but sometimes you have to let her go and Not overwork her. She is in a pleasant place and I think I can comfortably say she is done.

Thanks goes out to karen Payton-evans for writing a stellar article featuring me and my art.
Irene Sekersky

Well I think I have achieved some kind of happiness. She may not be perfect but. I think she is a win.
Well today was the last day for scarlet. I like how she turned out. I'm not always a fan of the subtractive method but who knows everything has its place, and she is defiantly quicker. So pros and cons in either.

Koala - Inconspicuous
The koala was an experiment too see how far I could take the painting and still keep it balanced with the use of negative space. The emotional connection is one of mischief. You are not sure what the koala is thinking exactly but you can certainly see it is plotting something.
Sometimes what we don't see is just as inviting and more provoking!

Grizzly - Dauntless
The grizzly is my favourite because of the amount of work that went into the painting. There were many times where this painting just wasn't where it needed to be. It took a great deal longer to get it to a place where I could let go. What I like about this piece is the flow of colour and the hair. The boundless of the penetrating stare is counter- balanced by the curved motion of the water, which also aids in its unification.
Turtle - Serenity
The turtle is larger in scope. I was going for a serene moment. To me most aquatic scenes evoke a sense of weightlessness as well as freedom. The cool colours help to convey depth and the focal point is rich with detail. The colours and size of the main subject demand one's attention in sharp contrast to its rich surroundings.
Frog - Simplicity
The Frog was my attempt to capture a moment of simplicity. I didn't over work the details of the painting. It was hard to step away from this painting and appreciate the simple beauty. It has become one of my favourites. For me it evokes an emotion of curiosity.
For some people it might be easier to follow me on face book,v or twitter. I update them on finished works. Normally. If thats easier option for you.
