House

Well I have finally moved into my new house and started painting again.  Overall I am just happy to be doing what I love, in a space thats my own.  

So here is the progress.

Debs dinner

Well today I moved around a couple paintings at Debs Dinner (1430 Ottawa St, Windsor) I am finally happy with my seals piece (there are not many I can say that about but happyness is being able to say I am moving on)

Abeaude

Well taking the seals back to my abeaude I decided to work on refining her, some positive steps but were getting to our limits, better to stop now.

I went over today and replaced allot of the paintings at Debs dinner (1430 Ottawa Street) to keep them fresh and different.

Gaining Definition

More work on the family portrait, she is coming and gaining more definition but its a long process.

Family Portrait

Well I spent a little more time on the family portrait,

fixing up past mistakes, so it was a good day.

Couple more

I gave a couple more hours to Emily over all NOW I am happy with her.  I hope my client enjoys the extra work.

Wrapping it up

Well today was my last day working on Emily she is to a point I am happy with her.  We will just have to see what the client thinks.  :)

Proportionately

Well I have found I made a couple mistakes with her proportionately so I am currently working no fixing up past mistakes.  This type of set up for the structure of the piece needs to be thought through more carefully.  But new approaches need to be massaged.

Weekend

Well this weekend I did a little more work on Emily, were getting there.

Coming along

Well I worked a little more on my Emily piece, she is coming along slowly but we will get there.

Mapped

Well I am refining emily in blue almost got her roughly mapped out.

Emily

My first post of Chris's Emily piece.  She took a little longer to getting this piece stared, as I have decided to try a different approach.  Stay tuned to see the results.  :)

Limits

well I worked spent another day refining my twiggy piece, I think she is in a good place and were reaching the borders of our limits.

Darkened

Well I have darkened the background of this piece, as the client wished, still working on making its pop but still have some semblance of darkness and brooding of this genre.

Tightening

I worked on tightening up my Ziggy Ramerez piece, darkening the tones to create more definition.

Well I worked more on my twiggy piece, decent progress was made.

Christina and Twiggy

Well I have softened christina, to get a more natural transition, I feel she is working better this way.

I have also started twiggy ramirez for a friend, she is not very far but its somewhere to begin.

Refining

I have spend a couple hours refining the carina round painting.  i happy with the progress.

My new client is chomping at the bit to get this painting I have done a little more work tonight.

Sunday

I worked a little more on my carina piece, nothing huge but she is getting there.

Carina Round

Well I have started some new work for a special friend.  The music artist he has chosen is carina round she is not perfect but were getting closer to better definition.

Brighten

Well I brightened my focals to give them more pop.  I am not sure how much more I can do without going in circles, so we will leave it be for now.

Well I have been working on my pearl jam piece, She is no where to where she needs to be but its a small step in the right direction.

Final touches

Well today was my last day for my chimp’s piece.  I’ve taken her as far as I can currently with my level of skill.  That’s humbling to say but got to know your limits.

Well I worked one more day of the chimp’s piece; I think I might be able to squeeze one more day out of her, without overtaking her.  That way I can make the foals pop.  I have evened out most of the outer edges to create more even focus.  For me a painting is all about where you want someone to look creating depth.  Our money shots are the face of the parent chimp and the baby.  So wish me luck for tomorrow.

Chimp’s final hours

Today I worked a little more on the focals of the chimps.  I’m not sure how much more is left for me to do on her but I think she might be in a good place for now.

Slowly

Well I spent a little work on the chimp’s piece.  Life gets busy and time becomes more precious.  But well get there just a little bit at a time.
