Sears Portrait

Well I think I'm almost done my sears portrait, I have to say I'm really happy with her. Starting to understand a little more about subtly and how light plays on the face.

The turtle

Well I finally sold my mammoth turtle. I'll miss her but I'm proud that she is out there where she can be enjoyed by other people, besides just by me.

Milk setup

Well were finally up at milk. She took a while but I'm happy with the results. I hope many of you come down to see it. before the painting you want are sold. Good luck.

Subtle transitions

Well I started massaging one of the piece for milk giving it more subtle transitions. To get them into a frame of mind that as I get better in my craft. I'm still proud of putting them out with my name on them.

I've still got some work to do but were moving in the right direction.

Milk

Dear Fellow bloggers and Art Enthusiasts

I've recently decided to return to college life. It may be a long time coming but were in the works. So I'm selling up my art, slashing prices.

My next showing is at milk. I feel that with this rare opportunity to get original art at a good price's people will want to stop by.

I will set up two dates (February 10th, or February 23th from 2-5pm) where if there are interested parties we can sit down talk, work out a deal, or just have a beer.

Hey guys, well today was a little family and a little rehashing of our old trip tic. She is probably going up at milk, so I just wanted her in better shape.

Peacock Done?

Well I've given her plenty of time. I think I can step away from her. Let hope she is well received.

Peacock and family portrait

Well I've been woking at Mick's on the peacock. And spending some time at home on the family portrait. I think I learned a couple things from my commission works I felt I needed to put into practice. So I think were where we need to be on the family thing but the peacock is still giving me troubles. But I'm sure I get her into shape its just a question of time.

Portrait two

Well today was the final touches to the other portrait commission. Now its all down to smashing out the peacock. Its always a chalange to re-do a piece but I'm confident that she will work out to everyone satisfaction.

Micks Irish pub

Well the owners of Mick's Irish Pub have kindly welcomed me to return and paint on there stage. So for the 20th-23rd. I will be down there please feel free to come down and share a pint with me.

Portrait

Well I finished up one of my commissions I'm pretty happy with her. On to the next.

Final Touches

Well dead line is almost upon us. So Its do or die. I'm reasonably happy with my works, fortunately I think I can let them go. Hopefully there well received.

Time keeps on ticking

Well I have done a little more work on Marley, Hendrix is pretty much done, and lauren hill is decent. Over all a good day.

Beatles sketch

Well I've been working on getting two sketches ready for my phog show. I'm reasonably happy, I think they will round out the 6 music paintings I have been working on. It goes up tomorrow I hope everyone enjoys.

Little more alanis morissette

Well I decided to spend a little more time on alanis (wasn't quite hitting me right) But I think we can let her go now.

New Business card options

Well my last run of business cards were professional but didn't include a painting or my blog website so this run I'm trying to design a bunch of potential possibilities. Let me know what you guys think. Which card hold the most promise?

Louis

Well this is louis armstrong, I think he is almost if not done. I'm trying to step away from her before I go crazy on detail. But I'm happy with his mood and direction.

Tightening

Well I worked a little bit more on my Beatles piece. Not many would notice the difference but I'm more proud of her now.

Fixing up

Well I've been working on reworking one of my older pieces. She is still a little cartoony but I think I happier with her.

Tripple threat

Well were finally done the trip tic, I feel content with the results. A friend of mine pulled out my old version of her I attempted last year and lets just say I'm happy I'm in a more comfortable with my work.

Contrast

Well I tried to contrast her up a bit. But basically I think the classic look worked the best. I just tweaked her So that hopefully she fits more with the collection.

Brick Backdrop

Well I'm liking the coffee exchange brick backdrop. it really sets of the paintings. 7 are up at the exchange if you get a chance come out and check them out.

Polling the public

Well subject matter I have always followed what captivated me. But I'm opening it up to other people. To take a poll Which do you enjoy more the animals (cats, apes, frogs, wolfs,elephants, ,bears, horses or other,) , the people, sculptures, aquatics (under water), music icons, or art nouveau.

Coffee Exchange back on!

Well I've talked to the owner of the exchange and were back in business. So I have revised the dates as well as a better set up of the design thanks to some help from phil.

Chattam art house

Well The back room coop is having our first official show. I'm contributing 6 pieces, Maybe I'll catch some of you down our open house is the September 17th. Fingers crossed it goes well.

New sketches (trip tic)

Well I've tried sketching the old trip-tic Not sure she is first on my list but she has to be a fifth or six. I'm sure I'll get to painting her some day.

Confidence

Well today was finishing up confidence, overall I'm very happy with her. Not sure the trifecta of three images emoting confidence is successful but we live we learn.

Tiger

Well were finally done the tiger. I decided to go with a more blank background to focus you attention on the eyes of the mother and the pup. I think we can say I'm happy with the results.

Dolphin, finished.

Well today was the end of dolphin. I'm happy with her I think she be a nice addition, just in time for the exchange.

New Hendrix

Well I decided to do another Hendrix sketch. I like her sense of definition of the focals.

Tinny Mucha

Well I have been working on some miniature mucha's were not completely happy with all of them but were getting closer.

Primary Instinct and julia

Well pretty much much finished work on primary instinct as well as another sketch (Julia Robert's), not bad weekend.

Under advisement

Well I stated working on the geisha. Didn't get too far until phil suggested I she is content as she is. I also did a little work on the Beatles but I'm going to take her home and pay some steady attention to building her up.
